The History of the Bicycle Over More Than Two Centuries

From June to October, the Musée Rath hosted an exceptional exhibition in the heart of Geneva. Vélos équilibres en mouvement, offered a captivating journey through the history of cycling, from its 19th-century origins to modern innovations.

Among the standout pieces, our two Type-A models vividly showcased Motosacoche's evolution, standing as symbols of a unique legacy and a relentless pursuit of innovation for over a century.

The Bicycle in Our Society

The exhibition explored the bicycle's essential role in society, far beyond its function as a means of transport. It highlighted its impact on urban spaces, its contribution to promoting sustainable mobility, and its cultural influence. Through a diverse collection and interactive displays, visitors could discover how the bicycle has become a symbol of innovation, freedom, and adventure in our daily lives.

Historical Motosacoche Models

Several Motosacoche bicycles were proudly displayed, showcasing our heritage and innovation. Among these models, two exceptional pieces stood out: the electric Type-A, representing our commitment to modern technology, and the very first Type-A created by the Dufaux brothers, a priceless testament to Motosacoche's history. These bicycles, crafted directly in our workshop, embodied our evolution over the decades.

We were delighted to take part in this event and share our passion for excellence and innovation with the public.
